    Profilingvalues® Report und 1h Coaching

    Who this package is for

    • You're facing a career or life decision and want a data-based way to clarify what truly matters to you.
    • You feel drained at work even though "everything fits" – and you suspect your values and your daily doing have drifted apart.
    • You've already taken CliftonStrengths® or other tests and finally want to add the values layer.
    • You lead people and want to cleanly understand your own value drivers and stress patterns.

    How your Profilingvalues® coaching works

    1. Instant access after purchase

After checkout on Digistore24 you receive your personal Profilingvalues® access link by email within minutes.

    2. Online test (~20 min)

You rank 18 value items twice by importance – once from the world's perspective, once from your self's perspective. Hard to manipulate, intrinsic.

    3. Full PAT report

You receive your complete Personal Audit Tool report (PDF) with 50+ metrics: values profile, value-creation capacity, stress patterns, blind spots.

    4. 60-min 1:1 debrief

We schedule your 1h coaching on Zoom. A certified Profilingvalues coach interprets your report with you and translates it into concrete next steps.

    What does Profilingvalues® measure exactly?

Profilingvalues® does not capture personality types or talent themes. It measures the structure of your values – what you consider important and how you evaluate situations, people and decisions. From this, reliable patterns for leadership, stress and value creation can be derived.

    Values profile (intrinsic, extrinsic, systemic)

Shows the focus of your valuations: do you value primarily fulfillment, performance and status, or order, structure and interconnections?

    Value-creation energy

Reveals how much constructive energy is available for pursuing your goals – and where it is blocked.

    Stress and decision patterns

Makes visible which value conflicts intensify under pressure and how you typically make or avoid decisions.

    Blind spots & self/other perception

Compares your self-valuation with the 'world' perspective and reveals gaps that create friction in everyday work.

    How the assessment process works

    1. 1Ranking procedure: You rank 18 value items by importance – once from the 'world' perspective and once from the 'self' perspective.
    2. 2No self-description: Instead of questions like 'Am I more…?', you choose from given value statements – reducing social desirability.
    3. 3Algorithmic scoring: The rankings are converted into metrics and reported in the PAT report (PDF) with 50+ values.
    4. 4Debriefing: A certified coach translates the metrics into your specific life or work context.

Profilingvalues® is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace psychological or medical advice. Its value unfolds in the coaching conversation, not in the report alone.

    What does research say?

Profilingvalues® is based on the Formal Axiology of philosopher and logician Robert S. Hartman (1910–1973). Below are verifiable references to Hartman's theory and to publications that address the validation of the Hartman Value Profile (HVP).

Hartman, R. S. (1967): The Structure of Value – Foundations of Scientific Axiology

Hartman's principal work establishes Formal Axiology as a science of value. He distinguishes three value dimensions (intrinsic, extrinsic, systemic) and provides the mathematical foundation on which the Hartman Value Profile (HVP) and derivative instruments such as Profilingvalues® were developed.

Hartman, R. S. (1973): The Hartman Value Profile (HVP) – Manual of Interpretation

Original HVP manual describing the ranking procedure, the 18 value items and the psychometric scoring logic. Still the primary reference for the methodology on which Profilingvalues® builds.

Robert S. Hartman Institute – publications

Pomeroy, L. (2005): The New Science of Axiological Psychology

Peer-reviewed volume (Brill/Rodopi, Value Inquiry Book Series) with a systematic review of reliability and validity studies on the HVP across several decades, including leadership, selection diagnostics and clinical applications.

Brill · Value Inquiry Book Series

Edwards, R. B. (Ed., 2010): Formal Axiology and Its Critics

Peer-reviewed volume that confronts Hartman's axiology with its academic critics. Important context: the axiological foundation is well established but – like any personality or values instrument – is subject to scientific debate.

Brill · Value Inquiry Book Series

    Journal of Human Values (SAGE)

Peer-reviewed journal that has been publishing research on values, values assessments and applied axiology since 1995 – including contributions on HVP-based instruments in leadership and organizational development.

Profilingvalues® GmbH – documentation on scientific basis

The provider publishes documentation on psychometric quality criteria (reliability, validity), the ongoing development of the HVP and application studies in business and coaching contexts.

We cite primary sources (Hartman's work, peer-reviewed publications) and the provider's own documentation separately. Statements about effectiveness in coaching reflect our own practice at PurposeCoach® and do not replace controlled efficacy studies.

    Markus R. · Industry division head, 44
„The report was an eye-opener, but only the 1h coaching put everything in place. I finally have words for something I've felt for years."
    Sarah K. · Project lead, 38

Profilingvalues® compared: CliftonStrengths®, DISC, MBTI, Big Five

Comparison of the five assessments most commonly used in coaching and HR. Based on official provider information and scientific literature on the Big Five model.

DISCBehavioral typology by W. M. Marston (1928)Four behavioral dimensions (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness)Widely used in practice; scientifically less validated than Big FiveCommunication and sales training, team workshops

Profilingvalues® and CliftonStrengths® complement each other because they map different layers (values vs. talents). DISC and MBTI are often used in coaching for behavioral and type reflection; Big Five is primarily a research and selection instrument.

Coaching is solution- and future-focused – designed for healthy people seeking clarity, growth or change. Psychotherapy treats mental health conditions and often works with the past. For acute symptoms like depression or burnout we recommend parallel medical care – coaching does not replace therapy.
